In the early morning hours of October 8, 1989, a tragic and fatal encounter unfolded in the Bronx. William L. Chisolm, a 24-year-old male off-duty New York City Police Officer, was with his girlfriend in a parked car in front of the Patterson Houses on 145th Street. Their quiet moment was shattered when they were approached by the girlfriend's 19-year-old ex-boyfriend, sparking a heated argument that would end in bloodshed.
