Mario Young, a 16-year-old from Queens, NY, tragically lost his life on December 29, 2006. The circumstances surrounding his death were violent and deeply troubling. Mario was shot and killed in Far Rockaway, Queens, an area known for its struggles with gang violence. The incident occurred late at night, and it was reported that Mario was caught in a crossfire between rival gang members.
