Robert Adams, a 19-year-old from Islip, NY, tragically lost his life on May 26, 2008. The incident occurred at the Central Islip Recreation Center during a Memorial Day gathering. Adams was fatally shot in front of hundreds of people, an event that left the community in shock and mourning. The shooting also resulted in injuries to two other individuals.
