In the early morning hours of August 2, 2021, a verbal dispute outside a Central Islip bar escalated into a fatal shooting that claimed the life of 31-year-old German Ariel Montes De Oca Ramirez of Bay Shore. The male victim was outside the Mi Nuevo Encanto Restaurant and Bar on Carleton Avenue at approximately 1:06 a.m. when he became embroiled in an argument with another man.
