Darnell B. Fields, also known as Bobby Womack, was found dead in the hallway outside his apartment at 12 Webster Court in Binghamton, New York, on June 20, 2010. He was 33 years old at the time of his death. The police responded to a "shots fired" call just before 12:30 a.m. and discovered Fields' body with multiple gunshot wounds. His death was immediately ruled a homicide by the authorities.
