On December 9, 2012, Daniel Miley, a 38-year-old resident of Binghamton, New York, was found by police in the early morning hours near Chapin Street and Gerard Avenue after a report of gunshots. Officers followed a blood trail and discovered Miley lying face down, critically wounded from a gunshot.
