Shawn Boone, a 26-year-old resident of Hempstead, NY, tragically lost his life in the early hours of July 5, 2014. Boone was sitting in his car on Princeton Street, talking with his girlfriend, when he was approached by Tayquan Clark, a 24-year-old man from Roosevelt. Clark attempted to carjack Boone's vehicle, a late-model BMW. During the confrontation, Clark shot Boone in the head, resulting in his immediate death.
