In the early morning hours of July 6, 2014, in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood of Brooklyn, 32-year-old Tamecca Haskins was shot and killed. The shooting occurred around 2:30 a.m. outside 180 Lefferts Place. Haskins was with a 34-year-old man, Donn Wynn, who was also shot and critically injured. Both victims were rushed to the hospital, where Haskins was pronounced dead from a gunshot wound to the chest.
