Raymond Floyd Patterson III, a 14-year-old boy from Buffalo, NY, tragically lost his life on August 12, 2014. The incident occurred in the Kenfield-Langfield housing development, where a crowd had gathered to watch a fight between two girls. During the altercation, Joseph Gant, a 29-year-old man, opened fire into the crowd, hitting Raymond Floyd Patterson III in the back, arm, and leg as he attempted to flee. Patterson succumbed to his injuries on a footbridge over the Kensington Expressway.
