Thapelo Hill, a 22-year-old traditional African percussionist and dancer from Buffalo, NY, tragically lost his life on December 19, 2017, after being shot outside a pizzeria on Niagara Street. Hill was a talented artist known for his performances at Kwanzaa celebrations and other local events. He was shot in the head during an altercation and succumbed to his injuries five days later at Erie County Medical Center.
