On a winter evening in Buffalo, New York, a senseless act of violence claimed the life of George Hardy, a 19-year-old African American male. On Thursday, December 13, 2007, Hardy was inside a vehicle parked on Rogers Avenue, in the vicinity of Genesee Street, when he was fatally wounded. The shots rang out at about 6:25 p.m., and when the authorities arrived, they found Hardy had been struck by multiple bullets. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
