Bryant J. Furchak, a 44-year-old retired NYPD officer, was found dead on August 24, 2014, in Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY. Furchak was discovered fatally shot near his car on Church Street late that Sunday night. The weapon believed to have been used in the shooting was recovered at the scene and was identified as belonging to Furchak.
