On the afternoon of September 22, 2014, 30-year-old Dean Artis Daniels was shot and killed in Mount Vernon, New York. Daniels, a resident of Harrison, was visiting a friend in the vicinity of Park Avenue and East Prospect Avenue when the incident occurred around 6 p.m. According to reports, individuals approached him and shot him twice in the back. He was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, which included a pierced lung. Investigators believed from the outset that ...
