In the summer of 2017, the community of Mount Vernon, New York, was shaken by the violent death of a young man. On August 11th, 31-year-old Brandon J. Peterson was found with multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but his injuries proved to be fatal. The nature of the attack led investigators to believe that it was not a random act of violence, but rather a targeted and premeditated crime.
