Leroy Olmstead, a 21-year-old resident of Brooklyn, New York, was tragically shot and killed on March 14, 2015. The incident occurred in front of the Gowanus Houses building where he lived. According to police reports, officers responded to a 911 call just after 3 p.m. and found Olmstead lying on the pavement with a single gunshot wound to his torso.
