On a spring afternoon in Brooklyn, the life of 18-year-old Donel Andrew was tragically cut short. On March 21, 2015, just before 4 p.m., gunshots rang out on Flatbush Avenue. When police arrived at the scene near Snyder Avenue, they found the young man lying on the ground, suffering from a gunshot wound to his stomach. Emergency services rushed him to Kings County Hospital, but his injury proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead.
