Dawan Turner, a 24-year-old resident of Brooklyn, New York, was found dead on April 17, 2015. His body was discovered in the passenger seat of a grey Kia Optima parked on Essex Street near Linden Boulevard in East New York. Turner had suffered a gunshot wound to the head, and the city medical examiner ruled his death a homicide.
