On the warm evening of August 7, 2015, a barbecue was underway at the Glenwood Houses in Brooklyn, New York. Among those enjoying the gathering was 23-year-old Bruce Donovan of Crown Heights. The festivities were tragically cut short when gunfire erupted, sending attendees scrambling for cover. When the chaos subsided, Donovan was found with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso and legs.
