Luis Blanco, a 62-year-old resident of Yonkers, NY, was tragically killed on August 19, 2015. His body was discovered on August 24, 2015, in Ossining, NY, by a nun jogging near the Maryknoll campus. The autopsy revealed that Blanco had been stabbed multiple times in the neck and torso and shot once in the head. His body was found in a state of decomposition, which complicated the identification process. DNA testing eventually confirmed his identity.
