On a summer evening in Yonkers, New York, what began as a visit to his birth mother turned into a tragedy for 20-year-old Brandon Garcia. On August 2, 2026, at approximately 8:43 p.m., the area of Elm Street and Palisade Avenue was shattered by the sound of gunfire. Brandon Garcia was struck in the back by a bullet and, despite immediate medical aid and transport to a local hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.
