Darnell Kapri Wilkerson, an 18-year-old from Brooklyn, New York, tragically lost his life on January 13, 2016. He was shot in the head near the Thomas Jefferson Educational Campus in East New York, Brooklyn. The incident occurred around 2:45 p.m., just moments after school dismissal. Wilkerson was walking down Pennsylvania Avenue near Livonia Avenue when he was targeted. The shooting also injured another teenager, John Trinidad, who was shot in the shoulder and side but survived.
