In the winter of 2016, a gathering in Elmira, New York, took a tragic turn, ending the life of 24-year-old Najee Holmes. On the night of Saturday, February 13th, Holmes was at a party in a garage when a dispute erupted between him and another man, Lawrence Baker. The argument escalated into a physical altercation. In the ensuing chaos, Holmes was shot.
