In the winter of 2023, the life of 34-year-old Jeremy J. Shazer, a male from Elmira, New York, was cut short in a burst of violence. On Saturday, January 21, 2023, Shazer was fatally shot while in his car in the parking lot of the Country Tavern in Elmira. He was rushed to a local hospital where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
