On a summer evening in Elmira, New York, tragedy struck at Pulaski Park. Yasean J McQueen, a 31-year-old male, was fatally shot on Monday, June 9, 2025. The shooting was one of two separate firearms incidents that occurred within about 15 minutes of each other that night, unsettling the city. In total, five people were shot across the two locations, with McQueen being the only fatality.
