Cortez Chaquadre Zyquan Johnson, a 2-year-old African American boy from Columbia, Missouri, died on June 25, 2008, at University Hospital & Clinics. An autopsy revealed that the male child suffered blunt force trauma to the head, along with over 200 burns, cuts, and bruises on his body. These injuries included severe burns on his face, neck, lip, arms, and genitals; loose teeth; and deep cuts and ligature marks on his wrists.
