In the early hours of a Friday morning in February 2016, the life of 31-year-old Malcolm Harris was cut short by gunfire in New Orleans. Police were dispatched to a desolate stretch of road in the eastern part of the city, where they discovered a car with Harris inside, slumped over and unresponsive. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
