Javon Craig, a 19-year-old from Brooklyn, NY, was tragically shot and killed on March 7, 2017. The incident occurred in the stairwell of the Risley Dent Towers on Fulton Street near Marcus Garvey Boulevard, just after midnight. Javon was shot through the front of his head and died at the scene. This location held a grim significance for the Craig family, as it was only 47 steps away from where Javon's older brother, Rasheed Craig, was gunned down eight years earlier.
