His death was not a random act of violence but rather a calculated move in a violent feud that had been brewing within the Harvey Hustlers, a notorious street gang. The roots of his murder can be traced back to an internal power struggle that splintered the gang into factions, leading to a series of retaliatory killings.
The conflict pitted a faction loyal to David
Williams against another allied with the Hudson brothers, Melvin and Jermaine. The escalating tensions reached a boiling point with the murder of Chad Jones, a close associate of Williams. In response, Williams allegedly ordered the killing of Laval London, a member of the Harvey Hustlers who he discovered was involved in Jones' death. London's murder, however, sealed Williams' fate, as London was a close associate of the Hudson brothers. In a direct act of retaliation, David Williams was executed.
