Tahrim Applewhite, a 19-year-old from Auburn, New York, tragically lost his life on December 21, 2017, in Brooklyn. He was fatally shot outside The Doe Fund's Gates Avenue Center for Opportunity, a homeless shelter located in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood.
