Laquan Surles, a 39-year-old resident of Brooklyn, New York, tragically lost his life on May 4, 2018. The incident occurred at the corner of Third Avenue and State Street in Boerum Hill, where Surles was shot multiple times in the torso. He was quickly transported to Brooklyn Hospital, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries. The motive behind this fatal shooting was a dispute over a romantic relationship.
