In the spring of 2018, the life of 39-year-old Laquan Surles, a male resident of Brooklyn, New York, was brought to a violent and tragic end. On the evening of May 4th, at the intersection of Third Avenue and State Street in the Boerum Hill neighborhood, Surles was shot multiple times in his torso. He was rushed to Brooklyn Hospital, but the severity of his injuries proved fatal, and he was pronounced dead.
