In the winter of 2021, a quiet block in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn was unsettled by a violent intrusion that left a longtime resident dead. On the morning of February 2nd, police responded to a 911 call from an apartment on St. Marks Avenue. Inside, they discovered 68-year-old Garry Henricksen, a male resident of the building, unconscious and unresponsive. He had been shot multiple times in the head, abdomen, and buttocks.
