On a cold Martin Luther King Jr. Day in Brooklyn, New York, the life of 34-year-old Orenzso Courtney Bovell, a Black male, was tragically cut short. On the evening of January 17, 2022, at approximately 5:45 p.m., police responded to a call at the corner of Quincy Street and Patchen Avenue in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood.
