On the night of November 27, 2015, a tragic event unfolded within the Langston Hughes Houses in the Brownsville neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. Dupris Bango Moore, a 25-year-old Black male, was fatally shot and killed. The incident, which occurred on the 14th floor of the public housing complex, also claimed the life of his 47-year-old father, Dupree 'Powerful' Dunbar.
