In the early evening of May 9, 2018, the life of 23-year-old Chaz A. Carter, a Black male from Buffalo, New York, was tragically cut short. At approximately 7:10 p.m. on Goodyear Avenue, Carter was fatally shot in a deliberate act of violence that sent shockwaves through the community.
