In the early morning hours of Father's Day, June 17, 2018, William Fernandez, a 33-year-old man, was shot and killed in the Bushwick neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. The fatal encounter occurred around 12:00 a.m. at the corner of Bushwick Avenue and Beaver Street. Fernandez was on his way to spend the day with his four children.
