On October 19, 2018, Demetrius Winfield, aged 30, was tragically killed in Hempstead, NY. The incident occurred at approximately 10:54 a.m. while Winfield was on a break from his job and talking to a friend outside a home on Wellesley Street. During this time, Jamik Cannon and his accomplice, Brian Marshall-Gibson, approached and opened fire, discharging at least 15 shots in a span of 14 seconds.
