On a Tuesday night in December of 2018, Tyree Walker, a 35-year-old male, was fatally shot near the steps of the Sumner Houses in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. A father of four, Walker was found by police with gunshot wounds to his head and torso and was pronounced dead at the scene. His wife later recounted that he was a maintenance worker and had no known enemies, leaving his family searching for answers in what appeared to be a senseless act of violence.
