On the night of December 27, 2019, Devon McFarlane, a 24-year-old resident of the Bronx, New York, was tragically shot and killed near his home in the University Heights neighborhood. The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. at the corner of East Burnside Avenue and Morris Avenue. According to police reports, McFarlane was found lying on the ground, unconscious and unresponsive, with a gunshot wound to his back.
