In a brazen daylight attack on May 2, 2020, Francisco Rosado, a 51-year-old male, was shot and killed in the Allerton section of the Bronx. The incident, believed to be a targeted assassination, unfolded around 3:20 p.m. on Holland Avenue near Mace Avenue. Rosado, identified as the leader of the Bronx chapter of the Pagan's Motorcycle Club, was ambushed by two masked assailants. The gunmen, who were captured on video, exited a blue Jeep Cherokee with stolen license plates and opened fire on Rosado, striking him in the head and chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The nature of the shooting immediately suggested a planned hit, with law enforcement sources pointing to a potential turf war with a rival motorcycle club. This theory gained traction as the investigation progressed, focusing on the escalating tensions between the Pagans and the Hells Angels. The conflict reportedly stemmed from the Hells Angels establishing a presence in what the Pagans considered their territory. This rivalry is believed to have been the primary motive behind the fatal shooting of Rosado.
In the months following the murder, authorities made significant headway in the case. In July 2020, three individuals were arrested and charged in connection with Rosado's death. The suspects were identified as 58-year-old Frank Tatulli, 27-year-old Anthony Destefano, and a third man from Queens. All three faced charges of murder, manslaughter, and criminal possession of a weapon. Reports indicated that at least two of the men taken into custody were high-ranking members of the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club. The arrests were a culmination of a thorough investigation that included a raid on the Hells Angels' clubhouse.
