On the evening of May 13, 2020, a 31-year-old Black / African American man named Bernardo Bernard was shot and killed in his Brooklyn, New York neighborhood. The incident occurred at approximately 8:23 p.m. near the intersection of 93rd Street and Clarkson Avenue in the East Flatbush section of the borough.
