In the early morning hours of July 9, 2020, Nayquan Garden, a 29-year-old man, stepped out for a late-night snack on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. This simple act would tragically be his last. Near the corner of West 105th Street and Columbus Avenue, he was shot in the chest. Police found him on the grounds of the Frederick Douglass Houses, a block from where the shooting occurred. He was rushed to Mount Sinai St. Luke's Hospital, but his life could not be saved, and he was pronounced dead. ...
