In the late afternoon of a September day in 2015, the life of 20-year-old Lamont Mason was tragically cut short. On Sunday, September 27th, at approximately 4:41 p.m., violence erupted at the Robert F. Wagner Houses, a public housing complex in East Harlem, Manhattan. Lamont was found unconscious and unresponsive, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his chest and legs. Paramedics rushed him to Harlem Hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead.
