In the winter of 2020, the life of 30-year-old Martin Martinez Jr. was tragically cut short in Utica, New York. On the evening of December 23rd, a violent encounter unfolded that would leave a family grieving just before the holidays. Martinez, a Hispanic male, was fatally wounded by gunfire in what authorities would later describe as a chaotic and dangerous series of events.
