On November 11, 2023, 34-year-old Kwamae Raysean Dale "Bang" Smith was fatally shot in Utica, New York. The incident occurred shortly before midnight at the HK Restaurant and Lounge, located near the corner of Varick and Cooper Streets. Upon arrival, Utica Police officers found Smith with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. He was promptly transported to Wynn Hospital, where, despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries.
