Malik Wright, a 33-year-old resident of Brooklyn, NY, tragically lost his life on February 7, 2021. Wright was attending a birthday party with his girlfriend, Ebony Walker, and their two young children at the Stuyvesant Gardens Houses in Bedford-Stuyvesant. Around 1:20 a.m., Wright stepped outside to get some air and was shot twice in the chest following a dispute with his attackers. Despite his injuries, Wright managed to run back inside the building, where he collapsed and was found by Walker.
