On a tragic spring day, the life of Ray Wishropp, a 49-year-old male, was cut short in a senseless act of violence at his workplace. On April 20, 2021, Wishropp, the grocery manager at a Stop & Shop in West Hempstead, New York, was fatally shot by a disgruntled employee. A father of seven, Wishropp was on his lunch break in a second-floor office when the gunman opened fire.
