In the late summer of 2021, the life of Keegan Whitley, a 42-year-old man from Rochester, New York, was tragically cut short. On August 28th, Whitley was pursued for approximately a quarter-mile before being fatally shot at the intersection of Flower City Park and Primrose Street. The incident was one of several separate shootings that occurred in Rochester over that weekend, tragically adding Whitley to the city's gun violence statistics.
