In the late hours of a November night in Albany, New York, the life of John 'Johnny' Welcome Jr., a 35-year-old Black / African American man, was brought to a tragic and abrupt end. On November 21, 2021, Welcome was found suffering from a gunshot wound to his torso near the intersection of Central and North Lake avenues.
