John Welcome, a 35-year-old resident of Albany, New York, tragically lost his life on November 21, 2021. John, affectionately known as "Johnny," was a beloved father, husband, son, and friend. He was employed as a security guard at the Schuyler Inn homeless shelter in Menands. On the night of his death, John was found with a gunshot wound to his torso near Central and North Lake avenues in Albany. Despite efforts to save him, he succumbed to his injuries at Albany Medical Center Hospital.
