On a cold December evening in 2021, the life of 37-year-old Tyrek Townsend was tragically cut short on a street corner in Queens, New York. The male victim, a resident of Coney Island, Brooklyn, was discovered with a fatal gunshot wound to his torso at the intersection of 113th Avenue and Linden Boulevard in the Springfield Gardens neighborhood.
