In the early evening of March 24, 2018, a burst of gunfire shattered the peace at the Queensbridge Houses in Queens, New York, leaving a young man's life cut tragically short. Sharef Graham, a 25-year-old male resident of the housing complex, was found lying unconscious in a walkway with gunshot wounds to his chest and thigh. The call to authorities came in just before 8 p.m., reporting an assault in progress.
Emergency medical services arrived swiftly and rushed Graham to Mount Sinai Hospital, but his injuries proved to be too severe, and he was pronounced dead.
